Volunteers are needed for the fourth New Mexico FIRST® LEGO® League Championship Tournament and Junior FIRST® LEGO® League Expo, Saturday, Feb 1, 2014 8 a.m.-5 p.m., at the Albuquerque Academy, 6400 Wyoming NE, in Albuquerque.
Drawing student teams from around the state, the FLL event includes approximately 48 teams, ages 9-14, and the Jr.FLL event includes approximately 20 teams, ages 6-9. Volunteers may be adults or high-school students (especially those on FTC and FRC teams). We have slots open for judges, referees, and reviewers. We have a huge need for general tournament volunteers. Because we have grown so much this year we need more help than ever (120+) so please join us and invite others you know to help out as well.
All volunteers must fill out information/consent forms, complete a background check, and attend a training session. For more information, visit the website - www.nmfll.org. Please go to the volunteers page and click on the link to watch a 6 minute video about FIRST and FLL (required viewing for all volunteers). The dates & times for the volunteer training sessions are also listed on the volunteers page. Even if you were a volunteer before I need to hear from you so I can update our email lists and volunteer lists.
For questions or to volunteer, email Mark Howard at firstname.lastname@example.org.
