Methods of Payment

GSNMT accepts a variety of payment methods:

Cash and/or Check Gifts
You can either mail your check to GSNMT at 4000 Jefferson Plaza NE, Albuquerque, NM 87109, Attention: Fund Development, for processing and acknowledgement.  Please make checks payable to GSNMT. 

Cash donations can be made through our council store, La Tienda, during our regular business hours. 

Credit/Debit Card Gifts
We accept credit card (MasterCard, Visa, AMEX, and Discover;  Debit Cards must have the MC/Visa logo) payment for gifts. Please indicate in writing the amount of the gift, where the gift should be credited, the credit card number, the expiration date, and the name as it appears on the card.  This written statement should be signed and mailed to the Fund Development office for processing.

You may also give through our secure online donation page using a credit card.  Donations can be of any amount when done online.  Simply fill out the form and click "submit" to process your donation.  You will receive a confirmation email of your donation immediately upon submission.

Gifts of Securities/Stock
Gifts of appreciated securities can provide you with the opportunity to make a substantial gift to GSNMT, avoid capital gains taxes and use the value of the gift as a charitable tax donation.

The process of transferring appreciated stock to GSNMT is quite simple.  The first step is to notify our Fund Development office of your intent to make a gift.  Donations may be restricted to a particular fund or unrestricted for general operating uses.  Upon notification of an impending securities gift, GSNMT will contact you with details for submitting the transfer either in person, through the mail, or electronically.

• Income Tax Savings - Take an income tax deduction of up to 30% of your adjusted gross income. The excess can be carried forward for up to five years.
• Capital Gain Tax Savings - Avoid capital gain taxes you would have incurred if you had sold the security.

Planned Gifts
Contact the Fund Development Department at 505-343-1040 to learn more about:

• Bequesting Girl Scouts in your will.
• Making Girl Scouts a beneficiary of a retirement plan.
• Making Girl Scouts the beneficiary of a new or existing life insurance policy.

Make a donation to Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails in honor of someone special. This gift helps provide the financial assistance needed to ensure all girls can benefit from the Girl Scout leadership experience.

Consider a gift

• To say thank you.
• As a holiday or birthday gift.
• For Leader's Day.
• For World Thinking Day.

Donors will receive an acknowledgment of their gift and honorees will be notoified gift has been made to GSNMT in their name (the amount of gift will not be disclosed to honoree).  Donors and honorees will be recognized on our website and in our Annual Report.
