Madame Tussaud’s Museum is honoring Juliette Gordon Low with a wax figure!
The National Archives will celebrate the 100th Anniversary with a featured document display of items exploring the contributions of two-time GS president and First Lady, Lou Henry Hoover. The exhibit will be in the West Rotunda Gallery from May 25 through June 17.
Spend the Night at the Museum! Three museums are offering (for a fee) sleepovers for visiting Girl Scout troops: The Newseum, the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, and Dumbarton Oaks.
Hillwood Estate, Museum, and Gardens is offering free admission for Girl Scouts from June 5-10, 2012, 10am-5pm. Enjoy Marjorie Merriweather Post’s spectacular estate and gardens and discover the beauty and history of the French and Russian art collections.
The National Park Service salutes the Girl Scouts with the 2012 Passport Stamp. It will be available in all 58 protected areas known as National Parks in 27 states across the country. Nation’s Capital brokered this partnership.
The Hard Rock Cafe is connecting Girl Scouts with SWAP breakfasts and box lunches. Girl Scouts Rock the Mall/Hard Rock collector pins available (limited edition) on website or at the Cafe.
Girl Scout Day Washington Nationals Baseball. Thursday, June 7th at 1:00 PM. Discount tickets available. Girl Scouts will sing anthem and pledge and throw first pitch. AND there will be a tribute to Gold Award Girl Scouts!
Girl Scout Night Washington Mystics Basketball. Friday, June 8th at 7:00 PM. 1500+ free tickets and discount tickets available.
National Portrait Gallery has a special exhibit of the famous portrait of Founder Juliette Gordon Low painted by Edward Hughes in 1887. Free to visit.
