United Way Community Support
The Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails is fortunate to be supported by United Ways from across New Mexico. Donor designations and grants from United Way of Northern New Mexico, United Way of Eastern New Mexico, San Juan United Way, and United Way of Central New Mexico help support programs and activities that allow GSNMT to help girls across New Mexico develop the courage, confidence, and character to make the world a better place.

United Way of Eastern New Mexico:
- Girl Scout Leadership Experience: United Way of Eastern New Mexico provides vital funding to help the GSNMT provide outreach and support for troops and volunteers in Curry and Roosevelt including providing financial assistance for under privileged girls
- STEM Initiative: Across America there is a growing gap between males and females in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Girl Scouts and the United Way of Eastern New Mexico have partnered to bridge this gap through the GSNMT STEM Initiative in Roosevelt and Curry County, which will engage girls in activities that will introduce them to STEM activities and careers
San Juan United Way funding helps support Girl Scouts activities for troops and service units as well as training and support for volunteers in San Juan County.
United Way of Northern New Mexico funds help GSNMT provide financial assistance for underserved girls in Espanola and training for volunteers as well as support the Girl Scouts Community garden in Espanola (read more below).
United Way of Central New Mexico designated funds support GSNMT provide programs, training, and support throughout central New Mexico.
