Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails owns and operates two resident camps—Camp Elliott Barker and Rancho del Chaparral—and we want you to be part of our incredible staff. Our camps aim to empower girls by building character, courage, and confidence in a fun and inclusive outdoor environment. We are looking for compassionate, enthusiastic staff with an interest and professional aims in education, outdoor recreation, physical education, environmental science, childhood development, and social work. Camp jobs offer invaluable skill-building, leadership, training, and enrichment opportunities that can’t be found anywhere else! Regardless of your college major, camp experiences allow you to learn and develop skills that will enhance your job marketability. The benefits go far beyond a paycheck, too. Business executives often note that experience as a camp counselor translates into excellent management and personnel skills. College credit can sometimes be obtained from working at camp.
