Opportunity Fund, Camperships, & Program Vouchers

Camperships

In an effort to make camp an experience available to all girls, need-based Camperships are available for one session to girls demonstrating need.

How to Apply

The Campership Application (available by mid-January in the 2017 camp book and online) must be completed and attached to the camp registration and submitted with the $50 deposit by May 1, 2017. All applicants will receive notification or application decisions of any awarded amount  within 10 business days following the May 1st deadline.

Juliettes applying for camperships should apply for financial assistance for campthrough the Opportunity Fund’s Juliette Fund. Girl Scout Juliettes, girls who are registered as Individually Registered Girl Scouts, may request fund from the Juliette Fund to pay for council-approved events at the council or Service Unit level, official insignia and uniforms, GSUSA destinations, camp, and membership dues and/or council service fee for membership. Funds should be requested on the Opportunity Fund form by marking the box “Juliette Fund”.

Requirements
  • Girls must be registered Girl Scouts to receive financial assistance; camperships are only available for girl campers. Campership funds are limited; assistance is based on financial need. All requests and allocations are confidential.

  • The Campership Application is for all requests for assistance in attending resident camp, unless you are specifically accessing Juliette Funds (see “How to Apply”). All Camperships are awarded to an individual girl and are not eligible for troops or Service Units.

Program Vouchers

Through the Girl Scout Cookie Sale, girls can set their cookie sale goals to earn Program Vouchers which can pay for GSNMT events and camp AND Service Unit events!

About Program Vouchers

Through the Girl Scout Cookie Sale, girls can earn Program Vouchers to use for GSNMT events, GSNMT camp, and Service Unit events.

Beginning at the 185 box level, girls can choose their rewards; at the levels where Program Vouchers are offered, a girl must choose either the themed reward OR the program voucher.

Girls eligible must make their reward selections and give to their Troop Cookie Chair before March 31. If selections are not made, the girl will receive the themed reward or Girl Experience at that level. For more information, see the 2017 Family Cookie Manual online for pictures of the rewards and details on Girl Experiences & Program Vouchers.

Using Program Vouchers

Program Vouchers are valid May 1, 2017 – April 30, 2018 and can be redeemed through council for program events, camp sessions and service unit events.

Program vouchers are cumulative, so if a girl selects program vouchers for each level they are offered (starting at 185 boxes, on up), she will have a total of $375 in program vouchers.

Program vouchers are transferable.

Please note: Vouchers must be present to be redeemed. Mail or bring in voucher(s) to La Tienda with registration form and payment.
