The GSNMT Bylaws Committee requests your assistance in reviewing the Bylaws and in making suggestions for Bylaw improvement or changes by May 31, 2012. Please read this request for details.
The Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails Bylaws Committee is soliciting your help and ideas on how our bylaws can be made better. We are asking you to review our current bylaws that are posted below and offer your ideas on specific changes or other input that you would like the Committee to consider. You should include the specifics of your input or proposed change (e.g., what you want to have changed) as well as information as to why you believe the change should be made. Your suggested input should be sent to gsnmtinfo@gs-nmtrails.org Attention - GSNMT Bylaws in the Subject Line by no later than May 31, 2012.
All input and proposed changes to the GSNMT Bylaws will be given full consideration by the Bylaws Committee. After the Committee completes our initial work, the draft of the proposed changes to the bylaws will be published on the GSNMT website to allow the membership to review and provide comments on our draft product. The Request for Comment period will last two weeks and is tentatively scheduled for July 9-20, 2012. Membership notification regarding this phase of our project will be made through a posting on the GSNMT website as well as through the weekly updates. After we review the comments on our proposed changes, and update our proposed changes to the Bylaws, the Committee will submit its final proposal to the GSNMT Board of Directors (BOD) for approval at its September 22, 2012 meeting. The BOD approved changes to our bylaws will go out as a part of the Annual Meeting package for review and consideration by the membership. The membership will vote on the proposed changes during the Annual Meeting which is scheduled for November 17,2012.
