In Person - El Rancho de las Golondrinas
Hispanic Heritage Month Program & Volunteer Opportunity
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month through meaningful service at El Rancho de las Golondrinas' Annual Harvest Festival on Saturday, October 3. Juniors, Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors will support this living history event by volunteering during a scheduled shift from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Girls and families are welcome to arrive early at 10:00 a.m. to observe the San Isidro mass and procession, a tradition honoring agriculture and community. Each participating girl may bring up to two adults at no cost to attend the festival.
Parents and additional volunteers are encouraged to participate, as a 1:5 adult-to-girl ratio will be maintained throughout the event. This volunteer experience is designed to be both educational and engaging, offering girls a hands-on opportunity to connect with New Mexico's rich Hispanic heritage.
Girls will receive a special fun patch for their hard work. Participation in this event will fulfill some requirements for the GSUSA Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration Patch and the GSNMT Hispanic Heritage Patch which can be ordered through La Tienda.
