Self Guided (JCSA)

Sports today are about more than competition - they are about leadership, entrepreneurship, and using your voice to inspire others. In this exciting self-guided Girl Scout program, Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador Girl Scouts explore how athletes can use their name, image, and reputation responsibly to create opportunities and advocate for change.

Following the landmark NCAA v. Alston decision, policy changes from the National Collegiate Athletic Association opened the door for college athletes to benefit from Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities. Today's athletes can partner with brands, build social media platforms, host camps, and support causes they care about. But with these opportunities also comes responsibility.

Girls will design their own athlete brand, explore sponsorship scenarios, learn basic financial literacy, and advocate for women in sports. Along the way, they'll discover how sports can amplify their voice, values, and leadership.
