Our Spring Break Camp Volunteer Training Session brings together all supporting adults to prepare for a safe, smooth, and joyfilled week with our campers. This gathering introduces volunteers to the camp theme, daily rhythm, and the core Girl Scout values that shape how we create welcoming, youthcentered spaces.
Volunteers will explore the camp layout, review safety and checkin procedures, and learn how to support activity stations, group leaders, and camper needs throughout the day. The session includes handson practice with key routines, guidance on positive behavior support, and simple strategies for helping every camper feel confident and included.
By the end of the session, volunteers will have:
A clear understanding of their role and responsibilities
Familiarity with the camp schedule, stations, and flow of the day
Essential safety information, including emergency procedures and communication plans
Tips for encouraging independence, teamwork, and Girl Scout spirit
A sense of connection with the staff team and fellow volunteers
This training ensures our volunteers feel prepared, supported, and ready to help deliver a memorable Spring Break Camp experience for every child who joins us.
