In Person - Taos

The Taos Ski Valley Adventure Hike offers Girl Scouts from Daisies through Ambassadors an unforgettable day in New Mexico's high mountain wilderness. Starting from the Williams Lake Trailhead, participants will journey through scenic alpine terrain while learning essential hiking skills and practicing Leave No Trace ethics. Along the way, girls will connect with nature, strengthen teamwork, and grow confidence in an outdoor setting.

After reaching Williams Lake for lunch, the program branches into age-appropriate experiences. Daisies, Brownies, and Juniors will take part in guided activities designed to spark creativity, encourage environmental awareness, and celebrate time spent outdoors. Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors will continue their hike toward Wheeler Peak, applying advanced outdoor skills and leadership as they work together to reach the highest point in New Mexico. This shared adventure supports skill-building at every level and fulfills requirements for the Trail Adventurer badge. Girls should bring a packed lunch, snacks, and plenty of water!
