Winter has a way of slowing the world down, creating space to explore, reflect, and discover what we're truly capable of. This weekend invites Cadettes, Seniors, and Ambassadors to embrace adventure while building confidence, independence, and leadership in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
Throughout the weekend, Girl Scouts will challenge themselves through a variety of outdoor experiences inspired by nature, teamwork, creativity, and self-discovery. Whether learning new outdoor skills, tackling hands-on challenges, exploring the winter landscape, or expressing themselves through creative activities, every experience is designed to encourage curiosity, resilience, and personal growth.
As daylight fades, Camp Elliott Barker transforms into a peaceful winter retreat where campfire traditions, meaningful conversations, and the star-filled New Mexico sky create opportunities to slow down, connect, and reflect. Together, Girl Scouts will strengthen friendships, celebrate one another's accomplishments, and discover that some of the greatest adventures happen when we step outside our comfort zones.
Throughout the weekend, campers will consider how nature changes with every season and how they are changing too. Every challenge, every shared meal, every quiet trail, and every campfire conversation become part of a journey toward greater confidence, courage, and self-reliance.
The experience concludes with a closing reflection and patch presentation as Girl Scouts celebrate the memories they've created, the friendships they've strengthened, and the adventures that remind them they are truly wild, free, and capable of more than they ever imagined.
