Give your girl a summer filled with creativity, friendship, and adventure. Our day camp program offers hands‑on activities, supportive staff, and age‑appropriate challenges that help girls grow their confidence and independence. Each week features engaging themes, safe supervision, and Girl Scout values.

Campers enjoy a predictable daily rhythm that helps them feel secure and excited for what’s ahead—opening circle, activity rotations, outdoor exploration, creative projects, and a reflective closing circle. Activities are thoughtfully tailored for every age level so each girl can grow at her own pace. Younger campers enjoy simple instructions and sensory‑friendly activities, while older girls take on multistep projects, leadership opportunities, and mentoring roles.

Safety and inclusion are at the heart of everything we do. Our team creates a welcoming environment where every girl feels seen, supported, and encouraged to try new things. Families can feel confident knowing their girl will spend the summer in a joyful, supportive community that celebrates creativity, teamwork, and the courage to try again.

Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails (GSNMT) is gearing up for another season of sunshine, creativity, and adventure — and we’re looking for enthusiastic staff to help make the magic happen. Our Albuquerque Metro Day Camp offers eight themed weeks of hands-on activities, outdoor exploration, arts, STEM, and classic Girl Scout traditions. Every day is an opportunity to empower girls, build confidence, and create memories that last long after summer ends.

Working at GSNMT day camp is fast-paced, rewarding, and full of variety. Whether you’re leading activities, supporting units, or helping behind the scenes, you’ll be part of a team that values safety, inclusivity, and fun.

8:30 AM – 4:30 PM (wrap-around care may include 7 am-6 pm)
Some roles may have slightly staggered start/end times to support camper dropoff and pickup.

Outdoor Explorer

Step into nature with confidence as they explore trails, create nature‑inspired art, and practice simple outdoor skills. Each day encourages curiosity, teamwork, and joyful discovery in the outdoors.

June 15-19: Curtain Call toggle arrow

Curtain Call

A playful week of acting, movement, and creative expression. Campers explore theater warmups, improv, character creation, and simple stagecraft as they work together to bring a mini‑production to life. Whether she loves the spotlight or prefers behind‑the‑scenes magic, every girl finds a role where she can shine.

A high‑energy mix of outdoor games, puzzles, and creative challenges. Girls practice teamwork, communication, and sportsmanship while designing and testing their own original games. With a balance of active play and thoughtful strategy, every camper discovers new ways to collaborate and have fun.

Step into a world of imagination as you explore folklore, craft mythical creatures, and build stories only they could dream up. Create characters, design fantasy worlds, and share your tales in a supportive, creative environment.

July 6-10: Design Divas toggle arrow

Design Divas

Bring engineering to life through hands‑on building, testing, and redesign. They explore motion, force, and simple machines as they create cars, launchers, and inventive structures. Campers learn that great engineers try, test, and try again—building resilience and creativity along the way.

July 13-17: Wild at Heart toggle arrow

Wild at Heart

Perfect for animal lovers and budding naturalists. Girls explore habitats, conservation, and local wildlife through hands‑on science and outdoor observation. Younger campers build simple habitats and enrichment toys, while older girls research species and explore advocacy.

July 20-24: Artrageous toggle arrow

Artrageous

A colorful celebration of creativity. Campers paint, sculpt, print, weave, and experiment with mixed‑media art while discovering their own artistic voice. Each day blends guided projects with open studio time, and the week ends with a joyful mini‑gallery showcasing their work.

July 27-31: Radical Robots toggle arrow

Radical Robots

Girls dive into robotics and coding through simple robot kits, unplugged coding games, and creative maze challenges. Younger campers explore movement and cause‑and‑effect, while older girls take on programming and sensor‑based tasks. Debugging becomes a celebration of persistence, and teamwork shines throughout the week.

Growing Tomorrow's Leaders, One Step at a Time toggle arrow

Leadership Camp is where older Girl Scouts discover their voice, build real‑world skills, and step confidently into roles that make a difference. Through our Program Aide (PA) and Counselor‑in‑Training (CIT) pathways, girls gain hands‑on experience working with younger campers, leading activities, and learning what it takes to create a safe, fun, and inclusive camp environment.

Program Aides (PAs) begin their leadership journey with guided practice in planning activities, supporting younger girls, and learning the basics of group management. They build confidence as they try new responsibilities with caring mentors by their side.
