Showing appreciation for volunteers is a powerful Girl Scout tradition. After all, our volunteers are ah-mazing. Volunteers are key to our mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place!
Nominations for Adult Recognition Awards take place in January.
Formal adult awards are offered by GSUSA and by Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails (GSNMT) to recognize exemplary service of adult Girl Scouts and community partners who go above and beyond the expectations of an individual’s position. Volunteers, girl members, and/or their families may nominate someone for an award. New Mexico Trails’ formal adult awards are intended to recognize exemplary service that is above and beyond what is expected for the individual’s volunteer role. Formal awards should be used to honor specific service rather than longevity. Formal awards are intended to be only one part of a comprehensive recognition plan which should also include informal recognition of volunteers.
