Buses depart from the Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails council office on the Sunday of the session start date and make a stop in Pojoaque and a stop in Taos on the way to/from camp. Arrive 30 minutes before bus departure/arrival time to ensure all paperwork is properly filled out before your camper boards the bus. Buses leave at the scheduled time. Register for the bus when you register for your camp session.
Few things are as memorable for Girl Scouts as going away to camp for the summer. While you may not remember exactly how this rite of passage made you more responsible and independent, or how it gave you an appreciation for nature, you’ll know it did. You’ll explore your passions in a supportive all-girl environment for 3+ nights – it’s what overnight camp is all about.

Rancho del Chaparral Leadership Camps
Transportation to/from Overnight Camp
Girl Scouts of New Mexico Trails offers bus transportation to both of our overnight camps as a service to help get girls to camp safely. Buses to both camps will start at the Albuquerque Service Center on the first day of a camp session and make limited stops along the way to camp. Please Note: If your camper is signed up to take the bus to/from camp, the camp staff is expecting them to check in/out with the bus. Please notify the council at least three weeks before your camper’s session if you need to change your travel plans. All times are subject to change.
If you plan to drive to camp, please arrive on the first day of your session starting at 1 pm and no later than 3 pm. Pick-up on departure day starts at 11 am and no later than 12 pm. Check your camper’s confirmation packet to ensure proper drop-off/pick-up dates and all paperwork is properly filled out.
